Can We Recover Data From A Water Damage iPhone?
About 90% of liquid damage devices we receive for data recovery are recoverable.
1
Logic Board Troubleshooting & Microsoldering
Apple does not work on water-damaged devices, but we've made a career out of it. Even though Apple has made it nearly impossible for any third-party repair shop to get their hands on documentation such as schematics and board views, we've managed to find ways to troubleshoot logicboards at component-level and even perform micro-soldering rework with specialized tools such as a microscope and micro soldering pen which is currently the most effective way to correct faulty solder connections preventing your iPhone from properly powering on.
2
The proper way to clean corrosion and rust from your logicboard
This process is simple and practical as long as you have the right equipment. It usually starts by adding fresh solder on oxidized solder joints; in some cases, scraping the affected area is needed to get rid of stubborn rust. We can use a sharp, small blade with a pointy end, such as a scalpel, to do this. The use of 99% IPO tends to be very effective in washing away any visible corrosion on the surface. Still, proper cleaning is never done without the use of an ultrasonic machine, which ultimately allows for an in-depth cleaning of all the components.
